What is an undercut in motorsport?

An undercut is a pit-stop strategy: stop earlier than a rival, fit fresher tyres, and use free air and pace to jump them when they pit later. It can fail when traffic, safety cars, or tyre degradation erase the gain. The Undercut product takes its name from committing early, making the call, and gaining an advantage through timing—motorsport predictions with receipts.
