Private F1 league rules template
Use this commissioner rules template to run a fair private F1 prediction league: invite policy, hard lock times, default scoring, bonus-pick policy, chat norms, and how to settle disputes with receipts—not memory. Built for Undercut private leagues; adapt the wording for your group.
Purpose of the rules
Clear rules keep friendships intact when the race is chaotic. Publish these once at league start, then change only between seasons unless the whole group agrees mid-season.
Invite and membership
- Membership is invite-only — share a code or link; no public farming ladder
- One social graph per league when possible (office, family, Discord crew)
- Commissioner controls invites; remove only for clear harassment or abuse
- New members may join mid-season but cannot rewrite past locked weekends
Lock times
- All race and bonus picks freeze at the session deadline — before lights out for that locked window
- No mid-session edits after lock
- On sprint weekends, state clearly which deadline freezes sprint picks vs Grand Prix picks
- Missing the lock means no late submission for that window
Default scoring (Undercut public model)
Unless the commissioner publishes a different config before the season, use Undercut’s default position model:

- Correct fastest lap: +3
- Bonus picks: as configured, in-app points only
- Weekend total = position points + fastest lap + bonus

Bonus pick policy
- Write each prop with clear wording and a clear resolution source before lock
- Same lock time as the grid unless explicitly stated otherwise
- Ambiguous props are voided, not argued after the flag
- Bonus picks are never real-money stakes on Undercut
Chat norms
- Keep race-weekend debate in free private league chat when possible
- Trash talk is fine; harassment, hate, and threats are not
- Members may report messages and use available block controls
- Do not pressure people for picks after the lock has passed

Disputes via receipts
- Check the post-race receipt and standings first — memory is not the scorekeeper
- If scoring config was wrong, commissioner corrects for the next unlocked weekend and documents the change
- Do not re-open locked picks after the session started
- Escalations: Support (/support) for product bugs; group culture issues stay with the commissioner
